DuoDERM® Extra Thin dressing belongs to the Granuflex® range of hydrocolloid dressings. It is a sterile dressing consisting of an inner layer of hydrocolloids contained within an adhesive polymer matrix and an outer layer of polyurethane film. The outer film is impermeable to exudate and micro-organisms. The hydrocolloid component of the dressings interact with wound exudate to produce a cohesive gel which enables removal with little or no damage to newly formed tissue. As DuoDERM® Extra Thin is waterproof, it is possible to bathe or shower with the dressing in position.
