With 20% of hydroxyethyl isobutyl piperidine carboxylate, this long-lasting skin protection repels mosquitoes and helps you avoid bites and the diseases they may carry, especially malaria, carried by anopheles.
The World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control have recognized icaridin as the one of the three most effective skin repellents. Moreover, this skin repellent is almost colorless and odorless, and it has been reported as having less negative effects than DEET.
In addition to mosquitoes, it repels:
- midges,
- horseflies
- sandflies,
- biting flies, ticks, fleas, chiggers and other biting insects
Icaridin repels insects and makes them less likely to bite. It seems to block mosquitoes from sensing their prey. It doesn’t kill insects.
