We are Wholesale Dealers licensed by the Medicines Control Agency, and Home Office, for: –
- List/General Sales List (SL/GSL) products,
- Pharmacy only medicines (P)
- Prescription Only Medicines (POM)
There are numerous rules regarding the sale of these items, and we may have to
contact you for clarification however if you are in any doubt we can advise you over the phone. As we are Wholesale Dealers we can supply a ‘reasonable’ quantity of many Pharmacy Only products dependent on each customer’s circumstances.
Please consult the table below to check which type of product you may be able to purchase.
N.B. We can fill some private prescriptions so long as complete packs are ordered. We are happy advise you over the telephone.
Virtually anyone can order these. Defined as products that Doctors should not provide an NHS prescription for as they are available for public purchase.
I know it seems daft to list this category particularly as you’ve probably have never heard of it but we have to!
Most people can order these products but ordinarily only from a Pharmacy with a Pharmacist present, so don’t be surprised if that’s what we tell you.

We are required, under our licence, to obtain copies of licences from our suppliers as well as appropriate details from all Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics etc wanting to order Ps & POMs. This may include registration numbers, dates of birth, full names and places of graduation. We need this information to check with your Professional Body. In the last 5 years we have prevented 3 people from stealing/dealing drugs illegally. All have been struck off or worse. We could have lost our licence. This is why we don’t take any risks, and any company offering to bypass the rules is breaking the Law and by using them in this way may leave you open to legal action. I do not mean this as a threat but to let you know that we do everything we can to protect our customers and ourselves which in turn protects everyone.
